Privacy Policy

We built Studysoft to help you learn, not to collect data about you. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Account info. Your email address, used to send sign-in magic links. We don't store passwords.
• Profile. Your name and an optional bio you write to tell Studysoft how to tailor examples to you.
• Learning content you create. The subjects and goals you enter for each program, your follow-up questions, your quiz answers, and which bites you've completed.
• Generated content. The bites, quizzes, simplifications, and audio the app produces for you, stored so you can return to them.
• Usage diagnostics. Anonymous crash reports and performance metrics to help us fix bugs.

AI providers

To generate bites, quizzes, simpler versions, and answers to your follow-up questions, we send the relevant inputs — your subject, goals, bio, and question text — to a third-party large language model provider (Anthropic). To read bites aloud, we send the bite text to a third-party text-to-speech provider (Deepgram). We don't send your email address to these providers, and we configure them not to use your content to train their models.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data.
• We don't use your content to train our own AI models.
• We don't run third-party advertising trackers.

How we use your data

We use the information above to run the Service: authenticate you, generate and deliver your programs, track your progress and level, respond to support requests, and improve reliability. That's it.

Storage and security

Your content is encrypted in transit. We use reputable cloud providers to host the Service and apply industry-standard safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure.

Your rights

You can delete any program from inside the app, which removes its bites, quizzes, and progress. To delete your account and remaining profile data, email us using the address below; backups are purged on a rolling schedule.

Children

Studysoft is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll notify you inside the app or by email before the change takes effect.
